Year 6 Residential is being held at Grovesnor Hall from Wednesday 15th October to Friday 17th October. Children will be meeting at the coach park at 8.15am on Wednesday and will need to be collected from the coach park at 2.15pm on Friday.
Term 1 ends on Friday 17th October at 3.15pm. We return to school on Monday 27th October 2025.

Thank you to all reception parents who attended our EYFS phonics workshops and for returning your evaluation feedback forms, this will help us when arranging future workshops. We had a total of 35 parents attend across the two dates.

Year 3 have a trip on the 16th October to the Beaney Museum and Roman Museum.
Year 6 Falcons will start swimming lessons at Kingsmead Swimming Pool on Tuesday 9th September 2025. Your child will need to bring a swimming costume / trunks and a towel in. Falcon Class will attend lessons every Tuesday afternoon starting on Tuesday 9th September for 6 weeks until Tuesday 14th October. The cost is £1 per lesson (£6 for the full block of lessons). This can be paid via Arbor.
We have arranged for our uniform supplier to start selling purple hoodies with our logo on them for PE. If you wish to purchase one, the link is below, children can wear them rather than any other hoodies/jumpers in PE. These are only for PE, and not to be worn instead of school uniform jumpers.
At St. John’s we currently offer piano and violin lessons that run throughout the school day every Friday. You can apply for one-to-one, paired or group lessons through the Kent Music Website: https://www.kent-music.com/music-lessons/ There are a range of instruments that you can learn from a Kent Music Teacher at school or at a local music centre.
Students with Lessons in Kent Schools: If you have an approved lesson with any music provider in a Kent school, you can apply for financial assistance.
